In January 2025, I had the opportunity to participate in a study trip to Biarritz as part of FIPADOC (International Documentary Film Festival). My class was tasked with interviewing directors from the "Young Creation" category and editing these interviews within a week, so they could be published on the festival's website.

For my part, I chose to interview Rebeka Bizubová about her film Confession, an intimate and moving work in which she explores the trauma of the sexual harassment she experienced. Through this discussion, I was able to better understand her artistic approach and the way she transforms her experience into a powerful and introspective cinematic narrative, encouraging reflection on this essential theme.

Through the "Young Creation" category, Fipadoc presents about twenty films made by students as part of their training, and as many perspectives from young people with diverse backgrounds and origins on contemporary issues.

The festival is fully committed to participating in the emergence and highlighting of young creators who bring a new point of view, a new energy to the documentary world. All invited to Biarritz, the directors of this selection present their film and participate in meetings with audiences. Also invited to numerous events organized by Fipadoc, these young European filmmakers can build their professional network, be inspired by the work of other authors, and discover the challenges of documentary creation in the rest of Europe.
